Printed in black ink. A bearded and mustachioed man reclines in a chair on the right side of the composition. Smoke rises from a long pipe he holds, which extends to the center of the composition. The man’s clothing is primarily black. He sits at a table on the top of which sit a mug and a bottle. In the lower left corner the back of a chair is visible. In the upper left corner is a bureau or sideboard on which rests a lamp. The background consists of a wall, decorated with a medallion motif. In the lower right corner beneath the border is printed the page number “333.”
