Globular tripod vessel with tricolor glaze (Sancai ware). The vessel sits on three paw-shaped feet and has a short, raised neck with slightly outturned lip. Exterior of the pink earthenware body is covered with white sip and then glazed with ochre, which falls to the bottom of the Bessel in drips. Three raised medallions and three winged quadruped appliqués spaced evenly around the shoulder of the Bessel are glazed with ochre, green and transparent glazed, dripped onto the surface.
