Description

Textile fragment, chintz, Toile Joley pattern. Brown figures in a cream. Motifs include shepherd and shepherdesses offering an animal (lamb) to a statue of a figure on a pedestal (identified as Cupid), children near female figure (mother) in temple setting dance to music by nearby piper, and animals (cats, sheep, chickens and roosters).
