Figure (identified as Tsongkhapa (1357-1419) surrounded by a halo and swirling ribbons throughout on a brown silk background. He is dressed a brown robe and hat of a Tibetan Lama. Figure is astride a white elephant in the royal ease pose. He is surrounded by a brown color scheme mandorla and a gray nimbus. His hands are held close to the chest in the teaching gesture (dharmacakra mudra) and he is holding two strands extended to the lotus stalks on the each side of his shoulders. The lotuses support a sword on his left and a scripture on his right. Couched gold thread.
