Description

A procession of courtesans along the sea shore. Five women carry a palanquin with a courtesan seated inside. A woman walks along side the palanquin, checking on the passenger, and another woman walks along the far side carrying an umbrella. At the front of the procession a woman carries a banner, with two girls following her. In the background is a large body of water. A group of boats are at the upper left in the background. At the upper right, people walk along a road in between the shore and a line of buildings.
