Description

Figures in a landscape in front of an architectural monument. There are two figures at bottom center. The male figure on the left is seen in profile facing right. He wears a helmet with a feather and a soldier’s armor. He is barefoot. His right hand is holding the hand of the female figure. The female figure on the right is holding his hand with her right hand and is looking away from the viewer. Her left hand is holding part of her skirt. She is barefoot. In front of them is a statue on a pedestal. It is in an architectural niche with drapery along the top. It has partially fluted columns on either side and is raised on three steps. There are trees on the right and left side.
