Female Laplander costume doll with baby. Core of body is made of wire and stuffed fabric. Head is stuffed fabric, molded with stitches. Facial features are painted. Hat is red with trim and orange, yellow, green, red and white striped lace ribbons. Hat fits on back of head with ear flaps. Black hair. Red scarf around neck. Long blue felt coat with orange felt trim. Yellow and turquoise bands along hem, lapels and wrists. Black socks with yellow and red cross ties. Red cord belt tied low around coat. Figure holds stick in right hand. Figure also holds an infant that has painted hair and facial features and is swaddled in strips of white cloth and wears a yellow felt hat with a green, red, and yellow yarn pompom on top. The infant is slipped inside a light brown felt carrier that is decorated with green and red yarn along the outer edge and has ties that cross over the body, made from red and yellow yarn twisted together.
