Description

Interior scene of a darkened room (The Tower of London) flanked by curtains, one of which includes a heraldic shield. Two men, one holding a lamp and one in a suit of armor (identified as Forrest and Dighton), pull back a blanket to reveal two children (the princes, known as Edward V, King of England and Richard of Shrewsbury, Duke of York) who appear to be asleep, clutching each other, but are in fact murdered). A book lies open beside them.
