Two exotic magpies in a pine tree. Rare bird found in China. Pair with male in front, female behind, birds are in left quarter of composition, center, framed by pine branches. Main trunk of tree goes from bottom left corner to top center, minor branches stretch across the bottom half of the composition. Needles at top left and bottom right. Prussian blue used in feathers, possibly indicates later state.
