Description

Black-and-white, waist-length portrait of a man who is facing the viewer. The image is from a slightly lower vantage point and the man is holding and looking into a large, rectangle below his face, possibly a mirror. The rectangle has dark, swirling decorations on the back and it reflects light onto the man's chest and in the lenses of his eyeglasses. The man is holding the object with his proper right hand, and his left hand is placed behind his neck. There is a window in the top of the image, above the man's head. He is wearing eyeglasses with thick, dark frames. He is wearing a long-sleeved, striped shirt that is rolled up to his elbows.
