Description

Standing female figure on the left side is holding a lute and looking down at a male figure seated on the floor. There is a third figure seated by a long instrument (identified as a koto) on the right side. In the background is a landscape with water, mountains and flowering trees.
Two noblement in room with open doors revealing garden with large lake and tea pavillion. One nobleman sits by koto, the other recieves biwa from servant woman. Fall scene with maple leaves in color. Margins with Genji symbols.
