Black-and-white, knee-length portrait of a man in three-quarters view (identified as Henry Taylor). The top of the image is rounded at the corners. The man is seated in a wooden chair, in an interior. He has a long, white beard and gray hair that is combed back. His proper right arm is resting on the arm of the chair, and there is a large piece of fabric draped along the left side of the image, behind the man. He is wearing a dark jacket and pants.
