Description

Deep purple wool shawl that is decorated with rows of gold boteh (decorative motif derived from the shape of a leaf often found on Persian carpets and textiles ) along the borders and four boteh in the interior corners. There is embroidery on blue twill ground. It has an elaborate paisley design in couched gold threads on each narrow end. Narrower couched gold thread borders along each edge.
