Black-and-white image of an old building in ruins (identified as Hadrian's Villa). There is a pool of water with several dark pillars in the center, in the left side of the image. There are seven tall, thin, stone pillars around the pool, which support a thin, horizontal band of stone. The pool of water reflects an image of the pillars. There is a pillar in the foreground that is broken at the base, and it is connected to a thin, chain fence that runs along the bottom of the image. There is a tall, stone wall in the background, and a cloudy sky at the top of the image. There is a thin white border around the image and inscriptions in the bottom left and right sides of the border.
