Description

Black-and-white image of an interior scene with a large mine hoist. There is a wooden ceiling, and sunlight streams through the spaces between the planks of wood in the top rightr corner of the image. There is a large wooden support beam running horizontally through the image, below the ceiling. The walls are made of rough, unfinished wood, and there is a large wooden wheel in the top of the image, supported by several wooden beams. There is a smaller, metal wheel below the wooden wheel. There is a thin white border around the image and inscriptions in the bottom left and right corners of the border.
