Geometric star design done in blue and brown fabrics. Border of brown material with floral pattern. Homespun backing. Manganese brown fabrics that date from the 1830s. Wedding quilt for William McPherson Wood and Mary Catherine Schoolby, married in Fairfax, Virginia, on July 18, 1838. Designed for a four-poster bed.
