Description

Black-and-white, full-length portrait of a woman facing the viewer, wearing a hula dancer costume. Her arms are swayed toward the left side of the image, and she is leaning slightly toward the right side of the image. Her proper left leg is slightly raised off of the ground and bent at the knee. She is wearing a dark, feathered hat, and she has jaw-length, curly hair that is visible from underneath the hat. There is a black and white, beaded string attached to the hat, which runs under the woman's chin. She is wearing a top that is cropped, with two thin straps over her shoulders, and it is covered with straw decoration. She is wearing a straw skirt that falls just below her knees and her feet are bare.
