Description

Black-and-white, knee-length portrait of a man facing the viewer frontally. His body is turned slightly toward the left side of the image. He is seated in front of a gray background, dressed in a military uniform. The source of light comes from the right side of the image, and his proper left hand is place on his hip, in a fist. In his proper right hand he is holding a dark, wide-brimmed hat. He has short, straight hair that is neatly combed and parted on the left side of his head. There is a leather strap crossing his chest from his left shoulder, and he is wearing a thick, leather belt.
