Description

Black-and-white, full-length portrait of a female dancer, standing in front of a white, shadowed background. She is turned toward the right side of the image and her head is turned so that she is facing the viewer and she is smiling. Her proper left arm is extended downward in front of her body, and her right arm is folded across her chest. She has short, dark hair and she is wearing a sleeveless ballet costume with dark and light-colored strips of sheer fabric falling from the waist to knee-level. She is standing on the toes of her left foot and her right leg is bent at the knee so that the lower part of her leg is parallel to the floor. She is wearing light-colored tights and satin ballet shoes.
