Black-and-white, hip-length portrait of a woman who is facing the viewer frontally, her proper right hand is raised in front of her right shoulder, the back of her hand is turned toward the viewer. She is standing in front of what appears to be a dark, wooden doorframe. In the left side of the image there is a metal floral decoration. The woman is wearing a black hat with a circular, floral pin above her forehead. There is a dark tuft of hair visible above her left ear. She is wearing a long, pearl necklace that is wrapped around the fingers on her raised right hand, and her left hand is placed on her hip. She is wearing a long, black jacket, and a white, buttoned shirt. There is a white sash tied in front of her waist, and there is a small, flower brooch on the left side of the front of her jacket.
