Black-and-white, hip-length portrait of a woman, her body turned toward the viewer frontally, with her face turned toward the left side of the image so that it is seen in profile. She is standing in front of a white background and wearing a black, wide-brimmed hat with a black ribbon attached to the back. She has short, dark hair that is visible from underneath the hat. She is wearing a black dress with a small, thin gold decoration on the front, and a sheer black robe with black fur trim. There is gold, swirling embroidery on the collar of the robe. Her proper left hand is resting on her chest.
