Black-and-white, waist-length portrait of a woman in front of a dark background, in three-quarters view. She is turned toward the left side of the image and her proper right hand is raised slightly, her fingers wrapped around a dark, pole which extends down from the top of the image. She has dark, straight hair that is parted in the center of her head and pulled back. There are small, light-colored bundles of flowers attached to her hair, around the sides of her head. She is wearing a loose, long-sleeved, white robe which has small buttons in the front, and a long, white scarf wrapped around the back of her neck, falling down her chest.
