Black-and-white portrait of a seated man, from the waist up. He is seen from a three-quarters view, facing to his right, but his face is turned to be seen frontally. He is wearing a tweed, three piece suit with a white shirt and dark tie. His arms are bent so that his hands rest on his hips. He has a slight smile on his face, and his dark, wavy hair is combed back. There is a metal chain visible across his vest, perhaps connected to a pocket watch. There is a dark scarf with white polka dots tucked into the left pocket of his jacket. The right side of his body is out of focus.
