Staffordshire medium blue transfer printed plate depicting scenes from Leavenworth, Kansas. There is a large scene in the center of the plate. There is a lake on the right and figures seated on land at the left. There is a long building in the background. There are six scenes around the border. The first, starting at the top going clockwise, is of a large building (identified as Leavenworth County Court House). The second is of a monument with a statue of a male figure on top (identified as Grant Monument). The third is of a line of cannons with figures standing next to and behind the cannons. The fourth is of a line of soldiers standing with tents in the background. The fifth is of a building flanked by trees. The sixth is of a row of homes/buildings (identified as Officer's quarters).
