a: Right section. Battle scene on a beach. Soldiers in western uniforms both on horseback and on foot, rush in from the lower left with swords and guns. They wear white trousers, black or white jackets, black or white hats with yellow trim. Running from them are soldiers in orange and blue. Behind the second group are three boats in an expanse of water, behind that are green and gray mountains and a gray water. In the upper left, part of a fire and clouds of smoke are visible. Several small, red stars (gun blasts?) are scattered throughout the picture.

b: Left section. A group of soldiers are gathered at lower left, in western uniforms. Three are on horseback. The uniforms are black, white and yellow. One of the mounted soldiers holds a red and white striped flag. Several large clouds of smoke are visible, a brown beach, light green expanse of water, green and gray trees, and a mountain are in the background.
