Diptych.
a: Right section. The background is blue and black with white checks. There is a man seated in the lower left, wearing a dark gray robe with black and white trim, and a white cloth with blue dots around his neck. He holds what may be a pipe or paint brush. Standing behind him to the right is a man wearing a black garment, covered with a gray batterned robe. One arm is heavily tattooed in blue, showing a snake curled around a pillar. He carries a green ax.

b: Left section. The background is blue and black with white checks. There is a man seated in the center, wearing a black garment, one arm heavily tattooed from shoulder to elbow in blue, red and white floral print. He holds a fan in one hand and a piece of white and blue dotted material in the other. Behind him stands a man wearing blue trousers, a black belt and a sword. His back and upper arms are completely tattooed. He holds a piece of blue dotted material across his back. In the upper right are three red and yellow small fans or feathers, attached to a green crosspiece.
