Black-and-white image of buildings in front of a canal. There is water in the foreground with tall, wooden poles lining the front of the buildings. One building is fully visible, and there are two, partially visible buildings on each side of the central building. The center building has tall pillars and arches on the ground level, and the two stories above have tall archways on the left side of the building and windows on the right side. The pillars on these top two stories are intricately decorated, and topped with cross designs. The edge of the roof of the building is lined with a pattern of standing crosses. The building in the left side of the image has balconies on each level.
