Black-and-white image of a row of buildings in front of a canal, from a frontal view. There are three buildings in the image, the building on the left side of the image is the tallest, the building on the right is the shortest. The windows of the building on the left have high, arched windows and some have balconies with railings that have vertical bars. The building in the center has arched windows that are pointed at the top, and the balconies have railings that are highly decorated with swirling patterns. The building in the right side of the image has windows with pointed arches, and only the windows on the right side of the building have balconies, which are partially cut off by the edge of the image. The railings to these balconies are similar to those of the building in the left side of the image. There is water in the foreground, and wooden poles in the water, in front of the buildings.
