A mawari dōrō or revolving shadow lantern with figures of travelers. Three boys play with the lantern. Outside screen with willow tree. Poem in UR cartouche. Keyblock print with kentō or register mark in BR corner. Lantern was designed so that shadows of the cut out figures could move on the screen and on the wall as the inner wheel was turned.
