Description

Outdoor scene in the evening. There is a frightened woman tied to a cherry tree. Two mice are attacking her. She wears a colorful floral print kimono. Old card says maker is "Toyokuni"

The kabuki actor Ichikawa Shodanji in a female role as an older woman. Helpful mice knaw at his ropes, soon to free her. Plum blossoms above to left.
