Miniature landscape painting. In the left foreground are portions of three walls of a building which have fallen into disrepair. The wall that connects the other two walls is borken by three, tall, slender arches. One window appears in each of the other two walls. In the center foreground is a small road that leads to the ruins. Two figures, one on horseback and the other on foot approach the building. Trees surround the ruined building.
