Ivory relief panel from a casket. Four scenes with full length figures (identified as the Chastelaine of Vergy, niece of the Duke of Burgundy with her dog, the Duchess of Burgundy, knight and vassal of the Duke, and the Duke of Burgundy and a messenger). In the far left panel two figures look at each other with foliage on either side. In the panel to the right two figures embrace with a dog below them. Another figure crouches to the left behind a tree. In the panel to the right two figures are seated and look at one another while touching hands. There is drapery under and around them. In the far right panel a standing female figure is handed an object (identified as an invitation) from a seated figure. Behind them is a castle.
