Carved wood Apostle probably once part of altarpiece. The Apostle's cape covers his shoulders, then, on the Apostle's right side, instead of flowing to the base, the drapery has been pulled around in front of the Apostle, creating folds of drapery. The hair line across the forehead is relatively straight. The figure's face is bearded, long and slender. At the base, the drapery is pulled back so that the toes of one of the feet are exposed. In his left hand, the Apostle holds an open book. His right arm is extended slightly and the hand is open.
