Carved wood Apostle, probably once part of altarpiece. The Apostle's cape cover his shoulders, then, on the Apostle's right side, instead of flowing to the base, the drapery has been pulled around in front of the Apostle, creating folds of drapery. The hair line on the forehead creates a "V" shape. The figure's face is bearded, long and slender. At the base, the drapery is pulled back, so that the toes of both feet are exposed. In his left hand, the Apostle holds a closed book. His right arm is slightly flexed and the hand is open. The back is flat and uncarved.
