Description

Segawa Rokō (1751-1810) standing against latticed wall of school house where her son kōtarō has been placed, soon to be sacrificed. Segawa Rokō plays Chiyo in act VI of play. Figure wears numerous combs of tortiseshell, kimono decorated wtih pines. Obi tied in front in fashion of courtesans.
