Literature

Sampler with lines of text and a building. There are two upper and one lower case alphabets and the numbers one through nine. There is a band of geometric pattern, followed by a large inscription (identified as the "Jesus permit" rhyme) with a smaller inscription above and below. There is another band of geometric patter, with a brown two-story house depicted below (identified as probably that of Lucy D. Ballard). There is a blue and white checkerboard and a zigzag border on all four sides with drawn work and metallic braid added. Colors include black, blue, brown, greens, and pink on tan.
