Painted half-length portrait of a young woman (portrayed as Minerva). She is holding a helmet with both hands in the bottom right corner with feathers/ plumage. She is faced frontally, with her proper right shoulder closer to the viewer. Her face is depicted fully frontal and her hair is curly and pulled back behind her head. She has a sash across her chest and over her proper right shoulder. The background is dark and neutral.
