Figure, identified as Saint Peter, is shown seated and dressed in pontifical vestments: amice, alb, dalmatic, and pluvial. He is crowned with a tiara. Figure has a compressed, rectangular head and sharp facial features; the eyes are naarrowed, and the brow is tightly knit. An abundance of folds are carved with steeply sloping sides. These knife edges are particularly noticeable in the vertical folds descending across the center of the figure.
