Half-length portrait of a woman (identified as the Virgin Mary) holding an infant (identified as Jesus Christ) in her arms on the right side. She is dressed in red with a blue cloak and has a gold halo. There is sheer drapery around her head and around the infant’s midsection. He holds a bird (identified as a goldfinch) in his proper left hand and gestures palm up with two figures raised on his right hand. The ground is red with a gold floral motif. Middle section of an altarpiece.
