Figures in an interior. Man (identified as the poet Anacreon) with white hair and beard, reclining on gilded settee. He is wearing a white robe with pink and gold drapery and a wreath of pink flowers (roses?) on his head. There are three winged children (putti) around him. His proper right hand is writing in a book beside one child. Another pours liquid into his gold cup. The third plays a harp at his feet. Nude female (statue) standing in left background. Blue drapery in the background.
