Founder and President of the Land Institute, Wes Jackson is a globally recognized leader in the sustainable agriculture movement. He was a Pew Conservation Scholar (1990), a MacArthur Fellow (1992), and LIFE magazine named him among the 100 most important Americans of the 20th century. He has published many books, including New Roots for Agriculture, Becoming Native to This Place, and most recently, Nature as Measure.
