Event Description
This session explores the working methods of Early Italian tempera painters through the process of creating a small-scale reconstruction of a 15th-century Italian egg tempera painting. Celka Straughn, SMA director of academic programs, will share the reconstruction she made during a five-day, hands-on technical art history workshop sponsored by the Kress Foundation. This series of informal talks is designed for senior citizens but open to everyone.
