Event Description
The public is invited to a "dialogue in the round" on Nature's Matrix: Linking Agriculture, Conservation and Food Sovereignty (Earthscan, 2009).

Join us for a discussion about food sovereignty, the relationship between natural habitat and agriculture, and the importance of working with rural social movements to promote ecological sustainability.
Participants in the conversation include Nature's Matrix authors Ivette Perfecto and John Vandermeer, both of the University of Michigan, and Angus Wright, of California State University, Sacramento.

Kip Haaheim of the KU School of Music has worked with graduate and undergraduate students to create an original composition in response to the ideas presented in the book. This musical work will be premiered following an intermission that includes refreshments prepared with locally grown, sustainably harvested food.
