Event Description
The workshop includes a light breakfast and a Brazilian-inspired lunch.
The day’s agenda includes:
• Brazil 101: An Overview of Brazilian Culture, History, Language, and Education
• Social and Environmental Movements in Brazil, including an interactive skype session with activists on the ground in Brazil
• Panel with exchange students (KU Students who studied in Brazil and Brazilian Students who are studying at KU)
• Film Screening: Award-winning film Wasteland with discussion about art and film as a lens into other cultures and to highlight social issues.
