Event Description
During Free State Festival, take a detour through the Spencer’s galleries to discover several video works on view by international artists. See U Sunok’s Moon move poetically across one wall, travel through Paris alongside Japanese artist Taro Izumi as he captures the sights of the city in the palm of his hand, and witness Alfredo Jaar’s cinematic elegy to the people of Angola in Muxima, which takes its name from an Angolan folksong and means heart in the native language. Installed alongside related works in other media, each video embodies themes explored in the Museum’s collection galleries.
