Event Description
Experience artist James Turrell’s "Gard Blue" in two ways: first a presentation by art historian Ann Wiklund about this renowned artist and a sampling of works from his illustrious career, and second, on site and literally “inside” the art work at the Spencer Museum with Director Saralyn Reece Hardy. "Gard Blue" is a projection of light rather than something tangible. After college Turrell became the lead artist in the Southern California Light and Space movement of the 1960s and '70s. Enrollment required. /$/ Contact Continuing Education, 785-864-KUCE(5823), or kuce@ku.edu
