Event Description
Anne Carson, one of the foremost poets of our time, has boldly translated and adapted Sophocles' "Antigone" for stage and ear. "Antigonick" translates the Greek classic not only into English, but also into Carson's distinctive voice. This event celebrates the art of literary translation, with a reading featuring Carson, her collaborator Robert Currie, KU Professor of Classics Stanley Lombardo, and other members of the KU community.
