Event Description
The Spencer Consort, a resident ensemble of the Spencer Museum of Art, plays music from the Baroque period on reproductions of instruments used in 17th-century Europe. Core members of the group include Baroque flutists John Boulton and Joy Laird, harpsichordist Elizabeth Egbert Berghout, and Baroque cellist Paul Laird. For this public performance, Baroque flutist Dorothy Glick joins in, allowing the ensemble to explore an expanded repertory. The program includes chamber music by French, Italian, English, and German composers.
