He is a graduate of the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, where he completed his thesis work with Pritzker Prize-winning architect Rafael Moneo. After gaining professional experience in architecture firms, Fujkus went independent in 2010, establishing Matt Fajkus Architecture, LLC. Fajkus is a professor at the University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture, where he teaches courses in design, technology, daylighting and integrated sustainability. He is also director of the UT's state-of-the-art Thermal Lab, which performs facade energy experimentation. He recently appeared as a guest on NPR's "On Point."
