Event Description
The Spencer Student Advisory Board (SSAB) will host its fifth annual Arts and Culture Festival on Saturday afternoon. The free event will feature art for sale by local and student visual artists, art-making activities for all ages, live music and performances, a screening of director Hayao Miyazaki's animated classic Howl's Moving Castle, and the launch of the 2012 Southwest Middle School "Bulldog" podcasts about the Spencer's collection. The afternoon also marks the opening of the SSAB's 2012 juried student-art exhibition Connection/Misconnection. The SSAB thanks KU Student Senate for its support.

1 PM: Bulldog Podcast launch - Central Court
1:30 PM: Performance by African Drum Ensemble at KU (ADEKU) - Front Lawn
2 PM: Announcement of Juried Show awards - Teaching Gallery
2 PM: Film screening of Howl’s Moving Castle - Auditorium
3:15 PM: Theo the guitar player - Front Lawn
